Dr. Shannon Lewis
At the center of it all is Dr. Lewis. Her journey into orthodontics began with something personal watching a close friend go through braces and jaw surgery and seeing not just a smile change, but a life change. That moment became a calling to blend art and science, to help people grow in confidence, and to create smiles that truly change lives.
Raised by a single mom, she also understands what real families face; balancing time, budgets, and the desire to do what’s best without added stress. That perspective shapes everything we do. Because here, orthodontics isn’t just about treatment. It’s about people, stories, and helping you step into the most confident version of yourself.

At Lewis Orthodontics, that’s exactly where we begin. Dr. Lewis takes the time to truly get to know each patient, because no two smiles—or
stories—are the same. Every treatment is thoughtfully designed to support not just a beautiful smile, but natural facial balance and long-term confidence. This isn’t about rushing to the finish line. It’s about doing things the right way, from the very beginning. Because when your care is personal, your results feel like you.
When it comes to knowing her stuff, Dr. Lewis is one of the best. After earning her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University, she went on to attend the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1999. Then, it was off to Chicago where she completed her general practice residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. While there she worked as a general dentist in private practice for two years. Yet, Dr. Lewis wanted to know more. So, she continued her education and earned her Master of Science in orthodontics from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2004. And before moving back to Oklahoma, she worked as a private-practice orthodontist in Richmond, Virginia.
To say that Dr. Lewis, a board-certified orthodontist in the Oklahoma City area, is seriously dedicated to continuing her education in all forms of patient care, would be an understatement. As the leader of the local Spear Study Club, which focuses on all the latest techniques, materials and aesthetic changes in dentistry, Dr. Lewis is constantly researching and learning in order to ensure she’s always providing the best and fastest treatment for her patients.

Beyond the practice, Dr. Lewis’s greatest joy is her family; her husband and their three children, Allison, Macy, and Garrett. Life at home is full of the same moments she values in the office: connection, laughter, and time well spent together. Whether it’s a round of golf, a walk outdoors, traveling, or simply being present with her family, those moments shape the care and perspective she brings to every patient. Rooted in community, Dr. Lewis and her husband also serve together on the national
Young Life Alumni and Friends advisory team. Continuing their commitment to supporting others and building meaningful relationships.
For Dr. Lewis, this work has always been about more than smiles. It’s about people, connections, and being part of something bigger.
